A few years ago I had a dream that I was stuck in a dark little shack that was floating out to sea. It had no windows and I didn’t know where I was or how I got there. Suddenly, out of a hole in the floor, a polar bear’s head popped up through the floor and it looked right at me. I was worried at first but it had such warm and friendly eyes that I decided, without question, to follow it. I knew it would help me. I dove down into the ocean and found I was able to breathe underwater when I was swimming with it. Eventually, I made it to land feeling confident and protected. Ever since then, when I need extra strength to get through a hard time, I think of the polar bear and the awe inspiring power of its presence.
